The Results are in: An AGIS poll

AGIS is as much about community as it is about hard facts. That’s why each week we will be bringing you our weekly poll results on elder care issues and share them with you.

This week’s poll revealed some interesting figures. We asked the AGIS community, “what is the biggest change you’ve made at work to deal with caring for your loved one? Was it that you:

- Rearranged you work schedule?

- Used more vacation or sick days?

- Reduced hours (went part-time) at your job?

- Changed to less-stressful job?

- Took leave of absence?

- Quit your job altogether?”

Here’s how you responded:

35% used more vacation or sick days
20% rearranged his or her work schedule
13% reduced his or her hours (went part-time)
19% quit his or her job altogether
9% changed to less-stressful job
4% took leave of absence
