Welcome Doctor Marion! Nationally Recognized Geriatric Care Manager Joins AGIS Expert Panel

Today AGIS officially welcomes geriatric care manager and nationally acclaimed author Doctor Marion Somers, Ph.D. to AGIS’ board of experts. Doctor Marion has three decades of experience providing support to the elderly and their caregivers and will share her experiences by contributing hundreds of “Ask Doctor Marion” articles in the Ask the Expert section of our site to give advice on common caregiving concerns, as well as provide a library of interactive audio and video tips on a range of eldercare topics.

“Doctor Marion has the vast experience and deep-seated knowledge in caregiving to significantly enhance our existing community network at AGIS,” stated AGIS founder and CEO Kevin Sypniewski. “This is a wonderful opportunity to connect her years of eldercare experience with family caregivers and we are extremely excited to have her on board. Her advice and guidance will expand our existing support base and we look forward to a long lasting relationship.”

“AGIS is revolutionizing the eldercare process by providing a community platform where parents and children alike can find the support they need during an often difficult decision making process,” said Doctor Marion. “I know first-hand how difficult it is for caregivers to find resources, which is exactly why I launched my book and web site. I’m thrilled to join the expert team at AGIS.com to further expand the comprehensive resources that are available in eldercare today.”

During her extensive career as a geriatric care manager, professor, counselor and caregiver to thousands, Doctor Marion has delivered multiple seminars and provided valuable commentary on eldercare to The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek and more. She is also the author of Elder Care Made Easier: Doctor Marion’s 10 Steps to Help You Care for an Aging Loved One, a concise guide that outlines in basic terms how to act as a caregiver to elderly loved ones. Welcome to the community!
